Sussex Hamilton seniors Alexis Konop and Alexis Zuehlke have been awarded the Junior Chargers Girls Basketball Scholarships for 2020. Both Konop and Zuehlke will receive $500 from the Junior Chargers program.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have participated in the Junior Charger program for a minimum of three years and played four years of basketball at Hamilton High School.
In addition, the applicants must have attained a cumulative Grade Point Average of at least 3.0 and have been accepted by a four-year university or a technical school.
Konop played with the Junior Chargers for five years, then was on Hamilton’s varsity team each of the past four years. Konop was a two-time all-Greater Metro Conference selection, a captain and a two-time GMC Scholar Athlete.
Konop has a 4.250 GPA and will attend the University of Wisconsin to study Industrial Engineering.
Zuehlke also played five years with the Junior Chargers and four years at Hamilton High School. Zuehlke has a 4.131 grade point average and will attend Marquette University to study Biomedical Sciences.
The Junior Chargers program wishes Konop and Zuehlke future success.
