(for girls in 1st - 6th grade)
Youth League is a separate opportunity from the Jr. Chargers program for young ladies in the 1st - 6th grade wishing to play basketball. It involves much smaller time commitment and is ideal for players who are new to organized basketball or are too young to play Jr. Chargers. Cost to participate is $100 for students in the district and $140 for students outside of the district. Simultaneous participation in both, Youth League and Jr. Chargers, while not prohibited, is discouraged.
Program Goals and Objectives
The objective of the Hamilton Girls Youth Basketball Program is to offer girls in our community the opportunity to develop as young people and basketball players. We will emphasize team play, individual skill development, good sportsmanship, and fun.
General Information
- 2024 Youth League season lasts from Jan.5, 2024 to Feb.10, 2024.
- Practices are on Fridays at TMS from 6-7pm and 7-8pm.
- Games are on Saturdays at HHS at 10am, 11am, 12pm, and 1pm.
- Teams will play two games each Saturday (no games on Jan.27).
- High school players will referee all games.
- Teams are coached by parent volunteers.
- Teams will consist of 8-12 players*.
- There are no tryouts and no cuts.
*Subject to the number of players that register at each grade.

There are two divisions*
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Grade League (8 ft hoops).
- 4th, 5th, 6th Grade League (10 ft hoops).
